Located about a 5 minute walk from Scoor House, Shepherds Cottage is a detached traditional Scottish crofter’s home with its own small walled garden area.

Entrance is via a small porch with recycling bins and then into the main hallway. To the right is the superbly appointed kitchen. This has excellent solid wood fitted units with wall oven, ceramic hob, dishwasher, fridge freezer, microwave and toaster. Centre piece is a large dining table with seating for 6. The kitchen also has the added feature of a lovely small multi-fuel stove. In the colder months this provides a really warming glow to add to the whole island experience.

There is a large bathroom with full size bath and hand held shower. Next door is the main lounge. This includes a comfortable tartan designed suite, an open fire and well stocked bookcases with games/jigsaws. There is also a portable TV/DVD with Sky freeview (also has access to over 100 digital channels) and a video player. Upstairs is a good size double room, a large family room with two twin beds and a full size bunk bed and a small, single box room.

With a genuine "away from it all" feeling and stunning views over the sea to Colonsay, Shepherds Cottage is the perfect retreat for a group/family of up to six.

OPEN ALL YEAR – rentals are on a weekly basis during the summer season from 4pm Saturday to 10am the following Saturday. During the winter, nightly or weekend stays can be arranged.
