Located on the first floor left of Scoor House, Cruachan offers roomy, comfortable accommodation for up to six people.  In the lounge/kitchen area will find a fully equipped kitchen with ceramic hob cooker, dishwasher, fridge, microwave and toaster.  The lounge area has seating for six and a large bench which will easily seat up to 8/10 people. 

There is a portable TV with Sky freeview (which also has access to over 100 digital radio channels) and a DVD player.  Cruachan also has a great collection of jigsaws and games as well as a good book selection.

The elevated views from the lounge windows are stunning, looking out over the sea and enjoying wonderful sunsets in the summer months. From the hallway you have access to the twin bedroom, the bathroom, which has a half size bath with overhead electric shower, the double bedroom which has the convenience of a hand wash-basin and the bunk room.

Cruachan is ideal for a family/group of up to 6 looking for well priced, well equipped accommodation in a stunning setting.

Cruachan is strictly NON SMOKING.

The names of each of the apartments refer to the grazing areas of Scoor Farm for over 100 years from 1848 when it became a large sheep-farming enterprise following the unjust clearance of the crofting townships and the tenants from their lands in 1847 by the landowner, the Duke of Argyll.

Cruachan is so named after the hill to the northeast above the forestry. It has panoramic views in every direction across the Ross of Mull from the north coast to the south coast – to the iconic islands, The Dutchman’s Hat and the Little Dutchman in the northwest to Dubh Artach Lighthouse in the south west on the clearest of days.  You may even be treated to a golden eagle flying over the house.

Look down on the daily farming activities; explore the historical landmarks with the walking guides produced by the Ross of Mull Historical Centre;

Discover the silver beaches, the rocky coastline, caves, wild goats, otters to name just a few of the treasures Scoor has to offer.

Should you want a day away from base, take a boat trip to Iona or Staffa and the Treshnish Isles; a road trip around Mull taking in Ulva, Calgary, Tobermory and Lochbuie, all with even more to offer the visitor.

Facilities:

Large living room with kitchen/dining, bathroom (small bath with shower), one double room,  one twin room with 2 single beds, one bunk bed room. Mattress protectors, duvets and pillows provided but not sheets.  You may bring your own bottom sheet, duvet cover and pillow slips or we can provide these for £6.00 per set, regardless of size.

Bath mats, tea towels and household cleaning materials supplied. Please note that there is no reliable mobile phone signal at Scoor. It is sometimes available nearby but depends on your network.  However, WhatsApp or similar calls are now possible thanks to the new Mastband WiFi system in the house, making it easy to find out what amenities and activities are available locally for you and keeping you in touch with family and friends.
