OPEN March to November – rentals are on a weekly basis during the high season from 4pm Friday to 10am the following Friday.  Unfortunately we cannot offer Saturday or  Sunday changeover days days.

Availability / Enquire
In a very secluded spot, a short distance from Scoor House,  Shepherd’s Cottage is a traditional Scottish  crofter’s  home with its own garden and parking area. There is a a large outdoor picnic bench and other outdoor seating in the garden. 
Entrance is via a porch with ample space for coats and footwear leading to the main hallway. To the right is a good sized very well equipped kitchen with solid wood fitted units, a double oven, ceramic hob, fridge freezer, washing machine, dishwasher microwave and toaster.
There is a large modern bathroom with a walk in shower and heated towel rail. Next door is the main lounge.  This includes a comfortable suite, an open fire and well stocked bookcases with games/jigsaws.  There is also a large TV with Sky freeview and a DVD player. Upstairs is a good size double room, a large family room with two single beds and a  small, single box room.
The property benefits from electric panel heating and for colder months there is an open fire in the sitting room and a multi fuel stove in the kitchen. Guests are permitted to use the fire and stove with care providing they provide their own coal and wood and dispose of ashes ( over the other side of the garden wall )before leaving the property

With a genuine “away from it all” feeling and stunning views over the sea to Colonsay, Shepherd’s Cottage is the perfect retreat for a group or family.

Shepherd’s Cottage is strictly NON SMOKING.

Shepherd’s Cottage does not allow dogs.

Facilities:

One large living room with open fire, separate large kitchen/dining with wood burning stove, spacious bathroom, one double room , one large room with two single beds one single room. Mattress protectors, duvets and pillows provided but not sheets.  You may bring your own bottom sheet, duvet cover and pillow slips or we can provide these for £6.00 per set, regardless of size.

Please note that there is only very intermittent mobile phone reception at Scoor.  But a weak mobile signal is usually possible from most networks from the double bedroom.

WhatsApp messaging works well . The WiFi is slow and can be intermittent
but works reasonably well for email and basic internet searches.
